Mapping Sedimentation Volume for Dredging

Sedimentation issues are a common occurrence in lakes across the country.  Identifying areas for dredging and estimating the amount of sludge to be removed is a challenging task.  The lake mapping professionals at The Mapping Network take the guess work out of the process and create an easy to see map of your lake.  Virgina Lake Management, a partner with The Mapping Network, just finished a lake mapping sedimentation project in North Carolina.   Virgina Lake Management mapped the current lake depths along with sedimentation depth points.  Using this new, accurate data, the lake association was able to easily locate areas of sedimentation.
The finished project included a Bathymetric Lake Map with 3D Color-shaded depths and contour map with locations of sediment removal.
